This is Me...
This is Me.
Michael of Seattle, WA. Where to start on describing myself?...
I am quite the outgoing guy as you can tell by the picture. I'm sure if you were to ask my friends they would tell you Michael has no problem getting to know people. I really enjoy meeting different people from different walks of life. More so then that I think I'm pegged as the guy who really loves 80's music. I'm not sure how I got to be so in love with this genre. My mom named me after the band INXS. With my first name being named after former lead singer Michael Hutchence and middle name Jon after the Drummer of INXS Jon Farriss. Needless to say I find every 80's dance night and 80's related concert in Seattle. It's my thing.
Let's run through a quick background..... I was born and raised in Hayward, CA where I lived in the Bay Area for most of my young years. I moved to Seattle, Washington in the Summer of 2000 where I went to high school and graduated in 2004. I decided I wanted to be a NCAA Student Athlete and randomly stumbled upon Augsburg College.
I really put all my time into becoming a better hockey player their while getting an education. I loved living in the Twin Cities and love the culture that Minneapolis-St. Paul has to offer.
Me dancing to Idol in the streets of Seattle
After graduating I decided to move back to Seattle to be back home around my family. I knew I wanted to be in a field where I could use my personality and be around Entertainment. I applied for Sports jobs, Music Business jobs and nothing really happened for me. I started to work full time in retail and picked up an internship with a local hockey team in the Western Hockey League (WHL). I also currently do street team work for the Seattle Weekly. I believe my dream job is to do PR for a live music venue.
I have met Hulk Hogan
I like playing guitar, Chicken Parm is the best meal ever and I have the best friends in the world.
P.S. I also started my own 80's cover band - Nite Wave - during this whole project.... how cool is that? We even headlined the Showbox Market in front of 900 people on 11-18-11!
"But while we love musicians and have spawned a multitude of talent – Jimi Hendrix, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana, among others – we have a reputation as being overly polite; incorrectly pegged as apathetic, shoe-gazing, disinterested bunch. But the unbridled enthusiasm of Seattle-resident Michael Henrichsen may change that. Henrichsen has been lobbying Billy Idol to play his 25th birthday party and the campaign has gone viral." - SoundUnwound.com 1-29-11
